Finally gets a speaking role in the show and given the name Derpy for the fans who love her and named her. She is then found to be too offensive because the fans didn’t like the voice she was given and people think the word Derp is an offensive word.
She is a clumsy character and makes mistakes. That’s her character traits. She hasn’t done anything offensively retarded nor is her voice offensively retarded. Some of you “fans” are over blowing the situation out of proportion by calling it a “Full On Retard”, Tropic Thunder shit.
The fans where the ones that helped created most of the character traits for Derpy in the first place. Then when the staff makes her a connection to the fans with this character for you to enjoy, some of you get offended? Its a cartoon that plays it on the safe side. Don’t take it so seriously.
